Het Wetsvoorstel Franchise is ingediend bij de Tweede Kamer. Daarmee is het aangepaste wetsvoorstel en het advies van de Raad van State openbaar geworden. Ten opzichte van het eerdere wetsvoorstel zijn er aanpassingen gedaan in de bepalingen over goodwill, de informatieplicht en het instemmingsrecht voor wijzigingen van de franchiseovereenkomst.
Staatsecretaris Mona Keijzer is blij met de indiening. Ze gaf in haar toespraak na indiening van het voorstel aan dat het een heugelijk moment is voor de franchisesector die van groot belang is voor de Nederlands economie. Wij gaan de wijzigingen en de toelichting verder bestuderen en houden u op de hoogte. We zijn ook benieuwd naar de behandeling in de Tweede Kamer. Wellicht leidt dat op onderdelen nog tot beperkte aanpassingen, maar het Wetsvoorstel Franchise komt er nu aan en dat zal gevolgen hebben voor nagenoeg alle franchise overeenkomsten.
